Frequently Asked Questions

BASICS

1. What is a BlogShop? – an online shop that harnesses the functions and ease-of-use of Blogging platforms.
2. What is a Theme? – a front cover for your BlogShop (a design template of sorts).
3. What is PayPal? – PayPal is a payment gateway system. As a BlogShop owner, you register an account with PayPal. Thereafter, credit card transactions through your BlogShop will be directed to PayPal’s payment gateway. Your customers make payment to your PayPal account. Thereafter, the money can be withdrawn to a Singapore-bank account.

PRE-SALES

1. What DOESN’T the S$99 include? – S$99 is for installation of BlogShop (includes theme and shopping cart). It does not include your domain name, hosting services and PayPal account. If you already have a domain name and hosting service (which supports WordPress), you don’t need to purchase the domain name and hosting through us. If you already have PayPal account, you do not need us to set it up for you. You only need our 99BlogShop Installation.
2. None of your Themes suit my “style” – If you have some other theme you like for us to use for your BlogShop, let us  know, we can set it up for you as well.
3. Is there any way to “test” the shopping cart? – What you see and use on our site to make purchase is exactly what you will be getting (or more accurately, what your customers will be using). There are more configurations, settings and options available in the admin panel (see screenshots)
4. I am not familiar with WordPress, can you set up 99BlogShop for Blogspot / Blogger? – Nope, this full package is only available on WordPress platform. We have tried both and they are actually quite similar, but WordPress seems to be more functional. If you are already familiar with Blogspot / Blogger system, then you shouldn’t have any problems using WordPress. FYI, you must have your own domain name and hosting to enjoy Shopping Cart functions, so Blogspot / Blogger platform’s a no-go.

AFTER-SALES

1. I want to add more plug-ins / change my theme – Yes you can do it yourself. Once you get  familiar enough with WordPress system, there are many things you can do. Adding more plug-ins to suit your needs and adding new themes are just some of the features available.
2. I have difficulty changing the posts / pages / products – Do go through the User Manual. It will guide you to the standard functions. If you still have problems, drop us an email or you can also visit WordPress support forum for answers.
